Des Brophy

Des Brophy concentrates on painting scenes from North Derbyshire and South Yorkshire as he enjoys the rugged landscapes and dramatic weather. His style has developed in time and his subject matter has ranged from watercolour landscapes to the slightly humorous everyday scenes that he has observed through his time as a Police Officer. He worked for the Sheffield force for 22 years and enjoyed observing ‘people behaviour’ and he tries to incorporate this in his artwork today.
