Paul Kavanagh

Having been offered a place at art college Paul Kavanagh chose instead to do a degree in History and Education finding time to study art through subsidiary courses whilst a student. When he began to paint professionally he attended classes with academician Fred Cuming. Paul's work has been exhibited worldwide and in the 1990s he began to exhibit exclusively at The Linda Blackstone Gallery.

Human relationships are behind the main ideas for Paul's work: "Couples talking, smiling together, being absorbed in themselves, kissing, enjoying their own company. Narrative is often an intrinsic part of the picture, the paintings tell a story, a fragment of a scene leaving the viewer to continue the trace alone".
